About the Role
We're looking for a
Mechanical Engineering Technician
with strong mechanical aptitude and a drive for innovation. You'll work closely with our engineering and production teams to
assemble, test, and refine
our blasting equipment — and play a key part in
research and development
, helping design, prototype, and validate new technologies.
This hands-on role suits someone who loves building, experimenting, and solving technical challenges in a real-world manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and test wet and dry blasting systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic components.
Participate in
R&D and prototype testing
to improve equipment design and performance.
Record and analyse experimental data to support product innovation.
Assist the engineering team with the preparation and interpretation of technical drawings and documentation.
Diagnose, repair, and optimise production equipment and processes.
Prepare technical reports and assist in developing assembly manuals.
Conduct technical product demonstrations, troubleshoot and provide support to customers.
About You
Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years' experience in the field of mechanical engineering with some experience in the surface preparation industry.
Skilled in assembly, testing and developing prototypes of industrial equipment.
Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
