Base Salary: $85,000 + Super + Bonus + Group Wide Discounts
We're searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at Granada Tavern – the beating heart of our local community where pub classics meet plates locals can't get enough of.
Sitting on Main Road in Berriedale just north of Hobart, Granada Tavern overlooks Berriedale Bay. We're the perfect place for families to have an overdue lunch, for mates to catch up over a beer, watch the game, or celebrate a milestone. Inspired by our surroundings and Tasmanian producers, we source food locally and sustainably.
Our Bistro offers fresh seafood, steaks, pastas, salads and all the pub classics you know and love, plus a dedicated menu for young guests and an affordable seniors menu. You could be leading the kitchen team to make all of this happen!
A day in the life of a Head Chef
* Command the kitchen, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable.
* Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team.
* Share your passion, skills, and creativity to grow a high-performing kitchen team.
* Maintain the connection between the kitchen and front of house, delivering great food every shift.
Inherent requirements
* Hands‐on role involving manual handling and lifting (moving stock, kegs, deliveries). Applicants must perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

* Experience, confidence and pride to own and make the kitchen shine.
* Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications.
* Passion for the Head Chef life – creating food people talk about and coming in each day ready to lead.
