Position Overview:
mycar Tyre & Auto is one of Australia's leading employers of Apprentices and trainees.
As an Apprentice Mechanic, you'll gain hands-on experience in the workshop while completing structured training to build your technical skillset.
You'll work alongside highly experienced technicians, learning the foundations of all things automotive.
Your day-to-day will involve tasks such as minor servicing, oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and the safe use and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment—all while keeping a clean, organised workspace.
You'll benefit from the perfect blend of on-the-job learning and trade school studies, supported by qualified trainers and mentors committed to your success.
Their four-year Apprenticeship Program is designed to help you build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to become a fully qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
Australian Citizenship and/or Permanent Residency
A genuine interest in all things mechanical
Commitment to a full-time, four-year apprenticeship (including practical studies)
Self-motivation and a positive, "can-do" attitude
Strong awareness of safe work practices
A current driver's licence or close to obtaining one (preferred)
Certificate II in Automotive or hands-on experience (ideal)
