The Assistant Director, Design & Video is a creative all-rounder, with experience in graphic design, typesetting, photography, and video production.
Key responsibilities:
Lead a team responsible for delivering high profile design projects to support communication priorities, including visual communication materials (e.g. infographics, digital panels, posters, fact sheets), reports, videos and animations for publication across various channels including TGA and ODC websites, social media, events and printed distribution.
Ensure design deliverables are on time and meet the appropriate design standards, with responsibility for scoping effort, resource allocation, workflow, and monitoring and reporting.
Provide creative design direction and implementation for public awareness campaigns, developing a suite of assets as required as part of the campaign strategy.
Be the custodian of the TGA and ODC brand, visual style guides and templates by managing and maintaining design assets, implementing and maintaining design standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the planning, design and execution of design and production services.
Provide photography and videography services to the TGA and ODC, including post-production, and manage the TGA's YouTube presence.
Provide print management services including obtaining quotes, approvals, providing press ready artwork to printers and liaising between staff and external printers.
Curate and maintain the image library for use by internal stakeholders.
