IPD is growing, and we're excited to announce a newly created Product Manager – Switchboard Systems role. We are seeking a dynamic and driven professional to take full ownership of Low Voltage switchboard systems, leading product strategy, lifecycle management, and market growth. This is a great opportunity to work at the cutting edge of the electrical industry, driving innovation, managing key supplier and customer relationships, and serving as a trusted technical and strategic expert.
The role is open across multiple IPD locations, including, Wetherill Park (NSW), Noble Park (VIC) and Brisbane (QLD), offering the chance to make a real impact in a rapidly expanding business while collaborating with a talented and passionate team.
About the role:
As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Low Voltage switchboard systems, focusing on:
* Managing the full product lifecycle, including product launches, obsolescence, end-of-life (EOL), and product quality.
* Developing and implementing business plans, and working closely with Marketing & Communications to deliver impactful campaigns.
* Leading the identification and introduction of new products to support growth and maintain market competitiveness.
* Managing key supplier relationships, overseeing pricing, supply chains, and resolving product or quality issues.
* Overseeing the offer portfolio, including inventory levels, pricing strategies, and margin performance.
* Creating sales and digital tools, and delivering technical and sales enablement training to internal teams and customers.
* Maintaining a high level of market, technical, and application knowledge of Low Voltage switchboard systems.
* Ensuring all product management activities comply with Quality Management Systems and are carried out safely and professionally.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
* Electrical Engineer, Trade-Qualified Electrician, or equivalent industry experience
* Preferably with previous experience in a Product Management role
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD tools and ERP systems is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of the Australian Low Voltage market, including key competitors and relevant standards (AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 3000).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to act as a technical point of contact internally and externally.
