The exciting opportunity: 
Report directly into the General Manager of Governance 
Support, monitor and maintain the WHS Management System and ensure compliance with all governing legislation 
Develop and oversee the workforce monitoring and audit plan, conducting inspections and supporting managers with their involvement 
Identify, report on and address hazards, and unsafe workplace conditions and practices 
Design, implement, coordinate and monitor continuous improvement initiatives and preventative WHS measures 
Communicate WHS information and provide practical and timely advice and assistance 
Assist to develop, facilitate and deliver WHS training sessions and programs 
Provide training and guidance to WHS Committees, coordinate reporting requirements and ensure corrective actions are implemented 
Review and update policies and procedures to ensure they meet legislation and industry standards

$90k - $100k + super + salary packaging 
About you: 
Hold a qualification in Workplace Health and Safety 
Experience in a WHS Officer role and a proven track record overseeing, implementing and continuously improving health and safety systems 
Able to build positive relationships and coach and inspire staff to work within a strong safety culture 
Personable, driven, analytically minded, solution oriented and flexible 
A genuine desire to make a positive impact in the aged care sector
