Job Title: Pain Management Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and experienced pain management specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at the St George Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background in pain management and be able to work effectively with patients, colleagues and staff.
Job Description
The successful applicant will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality medical care to patients with acute, transitional and chronic pain syndromes
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans
* Contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures related to pain management
* Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA)
* Specialist recognition as provided for by the Health Insurance Act
* Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists
* Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues and staff
