Receptionist - Community Health Services

Casual Opportunity Available

Management & Administrative Officers Grade 1 - $29.57 per hour (excluding allowances & salary packaging)

(Junior rates apply to employees aged under 19 years)

West Gippsland Healthcare Group are seeking a friendly, professional and motivated casual Receptionists to join our Allied & Community Health Division. This position plays an important role in supporting clients, staff and visiting services by providing high‑quality reception and administrative support across both the Community Health site and the Hospital Allied Health site.

In this frontline position, you will provide confidential, efficient and welcoming reception services to clients, carers, health professionals and staff. This role includes managing incoming enquiries, coordinating bookings, maintaining office systems, and supporting a variety of administrative functions that contribute to smooth service delivery.

Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

Our preferred candidate will have:

* Excellent communication skills

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel

* Ability to operate a range of office equipment

* Knowledge and use of VOIP telephone system

* Experience in providing administrative support

* A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements

* Responsible and mature work attitude

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

* Previous experience within a hospital or health care environment

IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) may be required prior to commencement.

All employees must hold current entitlement to work within Australia. A six month probationary period applies to all new appointments.
