Our company is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities in our maintenance workshop. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality repair and service of hire equipment and vehicles.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate external mechanics when required. They will also have experience in managing preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, as well as maintaining accurate service and maintenance records for all equipment.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Maintenance Supervisor will act as a liaison between maintenance, operations, and sales teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations. They will provide technical guidance and support to mechanics, including assistance with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment operation.
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual who can monitor and improve workshop processes, safety, and efficiency. If you have a trade qualification in Diesel Technology or a related field, and possess strong problem-solving abilities, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and perform maintenance and servicing of plant hire equipment, trucks, and mechanical gear both in workshop and onsite.
* Supervise all maintenance workshop staff and coordinate external mechanics when required.
* Manage preventative and corrective maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with service requirements.
* Maintain accurate service and maintenance records for all equipment.
* Act as liaison between maintenance, operations, and sales teams to ensure smooth communication and efficient operations.
* Provide technical guidance and support to mechanics, including assistance with troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment operation.
* Monitor and improve workshop processes, safety, and efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Trade qualified Diesel Technician / Mechanic / Fitter (preferred).
* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and make sound operational decisions.
* Forklift and EWP license.
* HR Truck license (preferred).
* Proven commitment to safety and workplace compliance.
