The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) is seeking a qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist ) based in Hobart. Please note this position is also being advertised as an Allied Health Professional d) and one position will be filled on merit. We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience delivering evidence-based therapies and assessment within mental health or relevant/related sector. You would be working within a well-supported, innovative, diverse multidisciplinary team to provide developmentally appropriate treatment with young people and their support systems. 
Our Aim: The Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in Tasmania is growing. We are seeking passionate and dedicated clinicians to deliver therapeutic services in partnership with young people experiencing mental health concerns. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment and delivering high-level clinical care. 
Responsibilities 
- Being part of a dynamic and well supported team committed to delivering high quality mental health services to young people aged 16-24 who are experiencing mental health issues. 
- Undertaking clinical services through the provision of assessment, individual therapies, and potentially group programs. 
- Working alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to refine new youth mental health services in Tasmania. 
- Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.

Requirements / What you will need to do 
- Provide evidence-based assessment and treatment interventions for clients with major and complex mental health problems, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs. 
- Function as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required. 
Details of Appointment 
Permanent full-time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies. 
Salary and Benefits 
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. 
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. 
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility 
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: 
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse 
- Current Working with Children Registration 
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered. 
Desirable criteria: 
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role 
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role 
- Current Driver’s Licence
