Job Opportunity: Senior Payroll Officer
The role of Senior Payroll Officer requires a skilled professional to provide support to the team, execute the fortnightly pay run, resolve client inquiries, and manage complex payroll transactions.
* Provide expert support in executing the fortnightly pay run, resolving client inquiries, and managing intricate payroll processes.
* Take ownership of the pay run process, including superannuation reporting, terminations, and redundancies, and apply performance metrics to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate payroll services.
* Assist in monitoring and evaluating payroll processes through the use of relevant tools and systems, implementing corrective actions where necessary to enhance outcomes.
* Act as a key escalation point and subject matter expert for resolving complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and providing precise guidance to the team and stakeholders.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at refining payroll processes, systems, and service delivery by leveraging innovative technologies and best practices.
* Support payroll governance by ensuring proper authorizations and documentation are maintained in line with organisational policies and procedures.

This is a contract position with a highly flexible working from home (WFH) environment - 3 days WFH, flexible hours, and with the potential for extension and/or permanency.
