Accounts Payable Team Leader
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a strong passion for Accounts Payable to lead our team as a Team Leader. In this position, you will be responsible for providing daily guidance and coaching to a team of accounts payable officers and seniors, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and provide guidance to a team of accounts payable officers and seniors, fostering their professional growth and ensuring their success.
* Oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice approvals, payments, reconciliations, and vendor management.
* Efficiently assign tasks, set measurable goals, and conduct regular evaluations to drive productivity and accountability.
* Drive process improvement initiatives and ensure best practices are implemented and followed.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the AP cycle, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Requirements:
* Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in accounts payable, preferably in a high-volume or shared services environment.
* Strong leadership skills with experience supervising or mentoring staff.
* Passion for creating a positive team culture rooted in collaboration, integrity, and continuous learning.
* Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and standardisation.
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
