Details: If you want a challenging and broad-ranging role that is at the coalface of shaping high performance and healthy workplaces, this could be the job for you.
The role leads a team supporting the Directorate's workforce of approximately 1,500 staff on employment matters. This includes providing advice and support to executives and supervisors about their people management responsibilities such as performance, behaviour, attendance, flexible work, injury management, recruitment and other employment practices and policies.
To be a strong contender for this role you will be comfortable having difficult conversations, have excellent ability to multi-task/prioritised and personal resilience, be a strategic thinker with sound stakeholder management and communication skills, and an ability to take a risk-based, pragmatic approach.
Additionally, you will design and deliver a range of projects, programs and initiatives that contribute to organisational and whole of government human resources priorities. You will be supported to work flexibly, with the expectation that you work in the office up to two days a week, on days of your choice having regard for operational requirements and will be surrounded by a great team.

Eligibility/Other requirements: At least five years' experience in a senior officer role of a similar nature or complexity.

An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
