Eligibility, Experience and Qualifications
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Medical Administrator, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways, or working towards such eligibility, or relevant qualifications and experience as a medical practitioner. Demonstrated leadership experience and achievement as a Senior Manager in a Health Service, including strategic planning, medical workforce planning and management, and change management. Demonstrated capability to effectively manage medical administration departments within a similar health care organisation. Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of clinical governance and clinical risk management and the capacity to implement and maintain continuous quality improvement management strategies. Sound understanding of contemporary Health Service issues and the proven ability to prioritise and effectively manage resources to address these issues. Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, consultative and interpersonal skills, incorporating the ability to liaise and consult with all levels of the health industry, the community and various professional groups. Valid unrestricted driver’s licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment. Ability to participate in Executive on call roster. Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or be able to independently, legally live and work in Australia.
