This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a community‐led cancer program while working alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team in a meaningful and impactful role.
What's the role?
As the Cancer Program Nurse, you will support cancer screening, treatment, and prevention across Maningrida and surrounding communities. You will work closely with patients and families impacted by cancer, both locally and when accessing care in Darwin, helping to improve screening participation, treatment uptake, and completion rates.
The role involves community engagement, outreach, and education, including working with younger cohorts to promote early detection. This Darwin‐based position operates on a FIFO basis (2–3 weeks per month in Maningrida), with subsidised travel and accommodation. The contract is 12 months with potential extension.

What you need to be successful
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum 5 years' post‐registration nursing experience
* Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problem‐solving skills
* Experience in culturally diverse settings, ideally remote healthcare
* Understanding of Aboriginal Community Control and primary health care principles
* Commitment to culturally safe care and awareness of social determinants of health
Additional requirements
* Current ALS/BLS certification and relevant immunisation training
* Manual driver's licence
* National Police Check and NT Working with Children (Ochre Card) or ability to obtain
* Compliance with vaccination and immunisation policies
