The role
Role Overview
The BEMS Project Engineer will undertake planning and delivery of project management services as required in construction and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, including rural health facilities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver project management services for construction and maintenance of buildings, plant and equipment.
- Operate a class C motor vehicle and maintain the appropriate licence endorsement.
- Participate in the ON‐CALL roster for building engineering and maintenance services.
- Travel and work at other facilities located throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
- Provide support for vaccine‐preventable disease (VPD) risk activities.
Requirements
- Possession of a degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Building or Civil) from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent.
- Obtain and maintain membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (desirable).
- Licence to operate a class C motor vehicle.
- Ability and willingness to participate in the on‐call roster.
- Willingness to travel to other facilities within THHS.
Location
Townsville University Hospital; travel to other facilities located throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
Compensation
Salary range: $106,525 to $116,502 p.a. (PO3). 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%–17.5% loading; employer contribution to superannuation plus options may be available.
