Our Client, Hedweld Engineering, is looking for skilled and detail-oriented Metal Machinists to join their team.
The successful candidates will operate CNC and conventional machinery to manufacture and repair precision metal components according to technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, grinders, lasers, and other metalworking tools.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements and setups.
Produce precision components to fine tolerances, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of machines and tools.
Recommend improvements to production methods and equipment performance.
Assist engineers with design modifications of mechanical components such as hydraulic systems and drive mechanisms.
Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to maintain efficient workflow.
Mentor and support apprentices to foster skill development.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What They're Looking For: Relevant trade qualification Proven at least 3 years experience in a similar role Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and precision measurement instruments.
Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications.
