Total Salary Package: $74,795.76 - $102,718.72 (plus 15.4% super)

**The Role**
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Proactively provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a range of internal and external communication products and activities.
- Manage the accurate completion of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor other employees.
- Create content for a variety of communication channels such as social media, electronic direct mail (eDM), speeches, media products, web content and publications.
- Prepare reports and briefings for senior government officials.
- Coordinate events for a range of audiences including senior government officials, ministers and agency partners.
- Coordinate advertising campaigns and awareness raising activities.

We are seeking energetic, highly organised and task-orientated ASD4/5/6 Public Communications and Media Officers to provide specialist expertise in areas such as campaign management, stakeholder engagement and awareness-raising activities, content development, digital platforms, social media, external media and corporate communications.
You will support the agency by providing high quality advice, briefings and awareness raising initiatives that support ASD missions. You will support the strategic management of ASD's public profile, identifying and developing promotional opportunities, and ensuring the quality and consistency of ASD messaging.

As a Public Communications and Media Officer you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, advertising or public relations are preferable, but not essential.
- Experience in planning, managing and evaluating internal and external communication programs.
- Experience in media and speechwriting are preferable, but not essential.
