This is an unique opportunity for you to join the Reserve Bank’s payments team that owns and operates RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system, and other critical national payments infrastructure. These payments systems move around $230 billion dollars between financial institutions each day and ultimately settles all non-cash payments in Australia. They are essential for supporting the day-to-day business of the Australian economy. You will be part of the Project Office for the Payments Operations Program, working in a senior business analyst and communications role. The Payments Operations Program is a large, business led program which is working to: uplift the operating model and resourcing for the RITS ecosystem; strengthen shared services processes and IT controls that support RITS and related systems; and improve knowledge management processes and systems and related training programs for staff supporting RITS. As a Senior Project Analyst, you will assist the Program management by supporting the Program’s reporting, risks and issues analysis, resource scheduling, project financials, preparation of Steering Committee packs and minutes. You will also work with Program management and the change management team to support the Payments Operations Program’s communications with key internal and external stakeholders. You will have previous experience working in a similar role as part of a project management office team with demonstrable skills for prioritising and working in a deadline-oriented environment and with a strong attention to detail and communication skills for board reporting, budgets and forecasts, as well as experience and knowledge of portfolio and project management practices. Reporting to the Manager of the Project Office and working closely with the Project Director - Business, you will also enjoy working and collaborating with multiple high performing teams committed to team goals and deliverables. Your Background Experience in a similar position supporting and coordinating a program or project management office. Strong communication and writing skills with proven stakeholder management experience. Strong analysis and reporting skills, with attention to detail to produce effective and accurate reports. Demonstrable ability to manage project budgets, forecasting and financials. Experience with assessing and analysing risks, issues and dependencies. Experience with scheduling and forecasting project resourcing. Experience at prioritising and working in a deadline-oriented environment. Strong communications skills and experience in drafting internal and external communications. Strong team player to work with multiple collaborative teams is essential. Understanding of Project Management Methodologies, frameworks, governance, quality assurance and administrative tools. Familiarity of banking or payment systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of portfolio management practices is highly desirable. Your Team Reporting to the Manager of the Project Office and Project Director - Business, you will be part of a small team of two other project analysts who collaborate effectively to achieve their team deliverables and goals. You will be directly supporting the Payments Operations Program, but will also have regular interactions with the Payments Settlements Department project office and the Bank’s EPMO.
