Position Description: Working as a full-time General Practitioner based in Rockhampton, you will report to the Clinical Operations Manager and play a vital role in delivering comprehensive and culturally sensitive healthcare services to the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality primary healthcare services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions Demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect for Aboriginal traditions and practices in healthcare delivery Managing chronic diseases and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve health outcomes Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary Providing best practice comprehensive primary health care optimising uptake and income generation across the service through MBS billings Providing leadership in the safety and quality of clinical services delivered by the health team Working in a multidisciplinary team environment with access to visiting allied health and specialist service responsible for demonstrating leadership in clinical quality, safety and fostering a culture of organisational reflection and continuous quality improvement Position Requirements: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent (MBBS) Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM APHRA registered unconditional Minimum 2 years' experience as a medical practitioner in a general practice/primary health care setting (including post graduate training)
