* Lead research investigations that push the boundaries of originality, creativity and innovation
* Collaborate with a diverse team of experts to develop an industry-funded soil health framework for Australian agricultural production systems
* Conceptualise, design and test novel frameworks for soil health assessments of Australian agricultural soil resources, integrating multiple tiers of spatially explicit data
* Carry out innovative research of strategic importance to the organisation, aiming to produce novel and important scientific outcomes
Our ideal candidate will be a broad soil systems thinker with a strong interest in using spatial approaches to solve challenges in measuring, valuing and reporting the status of Australia's soil resources.
Key Responsibilities:

o Develop a comprehensive understanding of current international and domestic literature, frameworks and expert opinion on soil health assessments
o Design and implement novel tools and metrics to support soil health benchmarking and thresholding
o Recognise and exploit opportunities for innovation and the generation of new theoretical perspectives
