About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety & Environment Operations this newly created role will be pivotal in building and embedding a proactive, people-focused health and safety culture across our teams.
You will act as a strategic partner to our operations leaders, leading initiatives, managing risk, supporting incident investigations, and coaching teams to continuously improve HSW performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive implementation of TGE's HSE strategy, plans, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Provide expert guidance and practical support to operational leaders across multiple sites.
* Investigate health, safety, and environmental incidents; identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are taken.
* Build capability at all levels through training, mentoring, and hands-on partnership.
* Contribute to broader sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Environment and Sustainability team.
* Lead continuous improvement in HSE processes, reporting, and compliance across the Intermodal, Linehaul, and Fleet teams.
About You
You are an HSE professional who thrives on creating safer, healthier workplaces and enjoys working in fast-paced operational environments. You're known for your people-first approach, strong stakeholder relationships, and your ability to influence and drive results.
You'll also bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
* Significant experience in a similar HSE advisor or business partner role, ideally in transport, logistics or heavy industry.
* Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management practices.
* Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and driving continuous improvement.
* Excellent interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills.
