Job Overview:
This role is responsible for delivering administrative support and asset management services within the MILIS system.
* Manage SCA Holder functions, including conducting asset stocktaking activities in alignment with the Commonwealth SCA Managers' stocktaking plan.
* Evaluate equipment usage and storage to ensure efficient and safe utilization.
* Oversee the return of temporarily issued equipment and conduct inspections to report defects and deficiencies.
* Coordinate item receipt and issuance processes.
* Generate movement requisition orders for freight transport.
Codification and Cataloguing Functions:
In addition to these responsibilities, the role also entails codifying and cataloguing functions, which include:
* Coordinate the codification and cataloguing of new or modified Items of Supply (IOS) identified in project data packs.
* Submit requests for new NATO Stock Numbers (NSN) to the National Codification Bureau (NCB) using the Material Codification Catalogue program.
* Perform cataloguing functions using the defence ERP program.
* Maintain MILIS Global Catalogue management data for CEA-associated NSNs.
* Ensure manufacturer/supplier NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) code details are accurate and up-to-date.
* Provide information to assist in establishing MILIS inventory records.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Previous experience in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) or defence industry.
* Knowledge of DEF-AUST 1000C, particularly regarding defence packaging requirements.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
