Job Title: Strategic Security Specialist
Job Description:
The role of the Agency Security Adviser is to develop and implement security strategies to protect workforce resources and assets. This involves providing specialist security advice, working closely with other directorates, and reporting on compliance with security frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement security policies and procedures to mitigate risks to workforce resources and assets.
* Provide expert security advice to agency executives and business units on security protection for built infrastructure, ICT, and biomedical equipment.
* Collaborate with other directorates to ensure relative protective security requirements are embedded in relevant systems, policies, and procedures.
* Monitor and report on ongoing incidents and trends, advising on security risks and recommendations for improvement.
* Ensure efficient operational management of corporate security, encompassing security governance, information security, personnel security, and physical security.
Requirements:
* Strong background in security management and risk assessment, including experience with SAPSF and Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security threats and develop effective solutions.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of security governance and risk management.
Certifications and Clearances:
* DHS Aged Care Sector Employment Screening.
* DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
* Protective Security Clearance.
