Finance Officer, Ongoing, Sydney

This role is a salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $113,574 - $125,720 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Finance Officer to provide a broad range of quality support services, including financial administration, contract management, and purchasing oversight. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of business operations and services.

As a critical contributor to the internal customer experience within our shared services model, the Finance Officer supports the Associate Director, Financial Control in managing service performance.

Additionally, the position drives continuous improvement initiatives within INSW's financial shared services framework, fostering an integrated, reliable, efficient, and customer-focused approach that meets the needs of all stakeholders.

Some of the key accountabilities for the role include:

* Use systems and dashboards to monitor and report on the performance of the share service provider.
* Identify areas of non-compliance, default or sub-optimal performance by providers, and recommend corrective actions.
* Develop trend analysis and performance indicators on service provision, reliability and quality, using analytical methods to inform and provide improvement opportunities.
* Identify evidence-based root causes of under-performance, including system failures, to support the development of solutions.
* Manages all finance aspects of the procurement-to-pay process including monitoring, reporting and delivery of transactional processing, payments and contract administration.
* Manages all finance aspects of accounts receivable including invoicing, monitoring and reporting of debtor management, and shared service contract administration.
* Support the implementation of change and process improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Manager Finance and Associate Director, Financial Control.

About You

* The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field, or possess extensive relevant experience. They will have proven experience in a similar role, including managing shared service arrangements.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders are essential, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, resilience, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and will be comfortable working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
