Position Profile: Are you an experienced and passionate Speech Pathologist ready to take on a pivotal leadership role where you can truly impact the lives of children and adolescents across Western Australia? The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking a dynamic Manager Speech Pathology to lead and shape speech pathology services within a designated region of our Community Health – Child Development Services. This is an exceptional opportunity to manage, plan, coordinate, and evaluate vital speech pathology programs, providing expert guidance and fostering a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You'll play a crucial role in recruiting and supervising talented staff, contributing to policy development, and championing innovative educative and research initiatives, all while upholding CAHS's core values.
You'll bring substantial experience in managing and evaluating speech pathology services, coupled with considerable clinical expertise in developmental paediatrics, allowing you to provide invaluable consultation and supervision. If you possess highly developed leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, a proven ability to lead complex clinical projects and policy development, and a deep understanding of community health engagement, then we want to hear from you.
About the Service: The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infant, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship. Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family. Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists and other allied health professionals. The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.
Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
