Offer description

Due to continued growth, a great career opportunity exists for an experienced Sales Application Engineer to assist our sales team with achieving profitable sales objectives and to providing engineering support. In your new role you will provide preliminary sizing, cost estimates and quotations for innovative materials handling, conveying, and packaging systems using predominately equipment within Heat and Control's product portfolio.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a global OEM, and to learn form the best in the industry.

Some of the expectations of this role will include:

* Produce timely equipment selections estimates and quotations which will match the customer's requirements and align with the company's standards.
* Provide the Sales Manager with a basis for further negotiation.
* Maximise the amount and quality of information available to the Company to undertake the project if the quote is successful.
* Attend sales hand over meetings and provide information to assist the Project Team.
* Assist in compiling and updating material, labour and specification data for use in future estimates and quotations.
* Create and develop sales layout drawings which accurately depict the equipment being quoted whilst ensuring functionality of the layout.

To be successful in this role you must also possess the following skills and abilities:

* Mechanical engineering qualification (Degree/Diploma).
* Highly experienced in systems design particularly in product handling equipment.
* AutoCAD drafting skill particularly in the development of conceptual equipment layouts. 3D drafting experience would be highly regarded.
* An intermediate to advanced level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft packages such as word, excel etc.
* Initiative to take action beyond specific job responsibilities to achieve objectives and positive outcomes.
* Ability to prioritise and effectively manage time to optimise the time spent in achieving objectives.
* Ability to make decisions and execute a course of action.
* Display integrity, honesty and genuine enthusiasm in supporting the customer base.
* Ability to work cooperatively with other team members and companywide stakeholders to achieve team goals and maintain a harmonious team environment.
