What you will do
Volvo Group Australia, Wacol has an opportunity for a Spray painter in the Production team.
The primary purpose of this position is the preparation and spray painting of Volvo and Mack branded trucks and chassis.
Other duties include:
Production Targets
Preparation and Spray Painting of Vehicles
Work together with the Team Leader and the team to achieve daily targets and other team targets
Performance
To follow the directions of the Team Leader and / or Production Leader.
To follow the instructions of the company in accordance with the site EBA, Award and all company policies and procedures.
To work within a designated team of spray painters.
To use the correct tools and equipment for preparation and painting activities.
To liaise effectively with other teams as required.
To take initiative and be involved in improving day to day business.
Volvo Way
To ensure housekeeping (5S) procedures are followed at all times.
Adopt all other VPS tools as required by the company.
Work with the OMS system to drive continuous improvement.
Participate in the development of TEAMS in conjunction with your Team Leader and Production Leader.
Work with the Continuous Improvement process.
Work with Standardised work tool.
This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis on afternoon shift and an immediate start is available for the right candidate.
Who are you?
You are a trade qualified spray painter and
have basic numeracy/Literacy skills
have basic computer skills and or a willingness to learn
are able to follow written instructions and procedures
are able to perform manual work (Fitness for work)
are able to use hand and power tools or a willingness to learn
