What you'll be doing
As the Perioperative Clinical Educator, you will be instrumental in building capability across the nursing team. You'll assess learning needs, facilitate bedside teaching, and implement tailored programs that align with strategic goals and improve clinical outcomes.
* Plan and deliver orientation, onboarding and continuing education for perioperative staff
* Mentor and support nurses to maintain clinical competency and confidence
* Lead education initiatives that align with organisational, legislative and MoH priorities
* Support quality improvement and WHS through effective training and staff engagement
* Collaborate with stakeholders to identify clinical needs and develop responsive learning strategies

Essential Criteria:
* Registration: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (NSW Registered Nurse – Division 1).
Selection Criteria:
* Demonstrated extensive clinical experience and post registration qualification in the relevant speciality and nursing professional development/ education.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and implement change within the context of best practice clinical care and workplace culture
* Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
* Demonstrated effective and high level communication skills including negotiation and conflict resolutions skills in addition to proven ability to motivate and engage people in the clinical setting.
* Demonstrated commitment to professional development and continuous improvement whilst ensuring currency of practice in the relevant specialty
* Demonstrated ability and commitment to collaborative and integrated multidisciplinary teamwork, aimed at building and strengthening partnerships with consumers and key stakeholders to provide best practice service delivery.
* Strong commitment to the on-going development/enhancement of nursing practice within a patient centred, multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
* Relevant computer skills including database programmes and data entry.
