About the roleWe are currently seeking qualified Fibre Splicers to join our expanding team for NBN projects around Canberra and NSW. As either Permnament Staff or as a Sub-Contractor.
You will be conducting various Fibre Spliciing activities across Canberra and/or NSW.
If you are an Experienced Splicer who is Efficient, Highly Skilled, Motivated and anle to adhere to all safety requirements and proceducres. You will find a great place at Team Direct 99.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, splice, and terminate fibre cables and devicesTermination of Connection ModulesOTDR, power meter & light source fibre optic commissioningRibbon splicingNBN splicing and install (DJL, FJL, BJL, SMP)Build fibre paths through new and existing networksRead and understand cable plans and designsExchange patching and workbooks
Qualifications (Required):Mininum 2 years of NBN Fibre Splicing Experience
enAble - Skill 12 - Testing and commissioning live fibre (also ICTBWN308)Accreditation
enAble - Skill 13 - Fibre splicing (also ICTBL330)enAble - Skill 21 - Build Fibre Enclosures and Install Splitters - MT-LFN (prerequisites of enAble Skill 9 and Skill 13)
ICTTEN318 - Inspect, Clean and Handle optical fibre cable and connectors (also enAble Skill 9)
RIIWHS302E - Implement traffic management plans
