About The Role
We are seeking an experienced PM Operations Supervisor to join our team at Launceston Airport, Tasmania on a full‐time basis. This role is critical to the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our air freight uplift activities.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead daily operations, oversee frontline teams, and ensure service, safety, and performance targets are consistently achieved. This is a hands‐on leadership role responsible for coordinating and driving the performance and safety of truck drivers, forklift operators, and dockhands across the depot, with a strong focus on airside ground handling operations.
This is an afternoon shift role, operating Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily operational activities across the air freight uplift operation
* Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures, including regulatory requirements (CISC and CASA)
* Oversee airside ground handling operations and site coordination
* Manage RACA site compliance, including security screening requirements at the Launceston site
* Lead site safety programs, risk assessments, and reporting
* Coordinate workflow to meet service and customer requirements
* Support, coach, and develop team members to achieve performance outcomes
* Monitor productivity, KPIs, and reporting requirements
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
About You
* Previous experience in an operations, supervisory, or team leader role
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Experience within air freight, logistics, or a regulated operational environment preferred
* Sound understanding of safety, compliance, and audit requirements
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Forklift Licence (LF) required
* MR Licence advantageous
* Ability to obtain a Federal Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
* Strong attention to detail with a safety‐first mindset
