About the role
The Senior Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across the Geovert Group. Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and company policies. This role provides high-level payroll expertise, support, and guidance to payroll staff, and plays a key part in continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
You'll gain exposure to our international operations and support the Payroll & Finance team in delivering end-to-end payroll across the business, including Australia, New Zealand, the USA and Canada.
About you
You're a proven Payroll Officer or Manager,
preferably from ground engineering or civil construction,
bringing technical fluency, an eye for detail and a continuous-improvement mindset. We offer a flexible and autonomous environment where your ideas are valued.
You will also have:
* Minimum 5+ years end-to-end payroll processing experience
* Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand employment legislation, awards, tax, and superannuation.
* Experience with Payroll Metrics (desirable) and NetSuite. Willingness to assist in continual improvement of Geovert systems
* Demonstrated experience reconciling payroll accounts and resolving discrepancies
* Minimum qualifications: Certificate IV in Payroll Administration (or equivalent) is preferred.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and are capable communciating with our employees across the business.
