About The Role
To be successful in this role you must be an Australian citizen and hold an NV1 security clearance. We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our high‑performance Professional Services team. This is a customer‑facing consulting position that requires exceptional collaboration skills and the ability to build strong partnerships with customers and with Datacom.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous Professional Services experience working with external customers and exposure to all aspects of delivering projects, including consulting, design, configuration, testing and deployment. Our offices are based in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. You will have the flexibility to work from home or in‑office, whichever works best for you and the team you join.
What You'll Do
* Work closely with customers, partners, sales and technical teams.
* Ensure assigned IT infrastructure‑based projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed scope.
* Serve as the technical point of contact for implementation services and solutions, either remotely or on‑site.
* Provide pre‑sales support and expertise to the sales team.
What You'll Bring
* Experience working with external enterprise customers in professional services environments.
* Design, implementation and optimisation experience of Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.
* Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Hyper‑V and AHV.
* A curiosity and passion for customers and a proven ability to communicate solutions in a way that resonates with all levels of our customers' stakeholders.
* Capability to work independently on competing priorities and as part of a team.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Design, implementation and optimisation experience in one or more of the following (desirable):
o Backup and recovery (Commvault, Veeam)
o Hyper‑converged technologies (Nutanix, Dell, Cisco)
