Job Title: Warehousing and Logistics Manager Role -
At Thales, we understand the importance of effective material handling, storage, dispatch, and inventory accuracy in ensuring our operations run smoothly. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading warehouse operations and optimising the utilisation of our local repair facility to support our Scylla program requirements.
About This Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen local capability, improve operational efficiency, and enhance alignment between logistics, engineering, and project delivery teams. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure customer and internal contracted requirements are met.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day leadership of the warehouse team to maintain effective material handling, storage, dispatch, and inventory accuracy.
* Maintain compliance with Defence, security, and company requirements for the management of controlled, hazardous, or sensitive items.
* Drive process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability across warehouse operations.
* Manage the scheduling, workflow, and utilisation of the small repair facility to increase throughput and reduce reliance on the interstate facility.
What We're Looking For:
We need someone with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management. A minimum 8 years' experience in managing operations, material handling, and inventory control preferably within a Defence, Manufacturing or related industry would be ideal. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills are essential. Familiarity with ILS principles and configuration management processes and procedures is also desirable.
