About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless transition from project delivery to safe, operational readiness, reliable, and cost-effective operations. Working closely with project teams, asset owners, and central support functions, you will coordinate all operational readiness activities to align with the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the project team to understand scope and schedule, ensuring operational readiness information (IOM, equipment registers, datasheets, P&IDs;) is complete and accurate.
- Liaise with asset owners to clarify readiness activities, coordinate closure of gaps, and track progress to handover.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, reliability, and other support functions to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines.
- Conduct spares criticality assessments, cataloguing, and stockholding in line with maintenance philosophy.
- Create/update SAP master data (function locations, equipment masters, BOMs, maintenance plans, items, task lists) ensuring compliance with legislation and FMECA requirements.
- Facilitate meetings, manage schedules and budgets, and provide clear progress reporting.
About You
- Trade-qualified (Mechanical).
- Strong experience in maintenance planning and SAP master data management.
- Background in mining or heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes and operational readiness fundamentals.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and communicate effectively.
- Skilled in problem-solving, meeting facilitation, and Microsoft Office tools.
