Our client is a privately-owned group operating five fast-paced fast-food restaurants in Brisbane's south-east, with continued growth through new store openings and acquisitions. The Position
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the finance function, with a particular focus on payroll, reporting, and supporting operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing payroll for 700+ employees under the fast-food award.
* Preparing accurate P&L reports for store managers, ensuring month-end deadlines are consistently met.
* Managing forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
* Reviewing coding, invoices, and liaising with outsourced providers for BAS and bank reconciliations.
* Partnering with restaurant managers to provide insights and attend P&L meetings.
* Supporting the integration of new stores and acquisitions from a finance perspective.
* Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in reporting and payroll.
Your Profile
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable finance professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment. You will bring:
* CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent experience).
* Strong payroll and accounting knowledge, ideally with experience in award-based payroll.
* A flexible, proactive approach and willingness to "roll up your sleeves."
* Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with operational teams.
* Drive to grow with the business and take on broader responsibilities over time.
