About the Role:
The Quality, Safety and Governance team provides leadership for quality and safety, assurance, governance systems and processes, and support to all clinical and operational areas within the Canberra Health Services to deliver exceptional health care. It includes Quality and Safety, National Standards and Accreditation, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance, Medico Legal, Corporate Records, Strategic Communications, Clinical Incident Management, Policy and Strategy areas. A great team with terrific opportunities to work on challenging and complex issues – all of which matter to our local community.
The Assistant Director Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance role works in a small and dedicated team supporting risk management, internal audit and legislative compliance processes within CHS. The position plays a key role in strengthening the maturity of risk management and compliance across CHS, helping to maintain high standards of care, and improving the health of our community. You will coordinate medical device and pharmaceutical recalls, product alerts, product corrections, and quarantine activity. You will report to the Director, Risk Management and provide support to the internal audit and legislative compliance functions within the team.
