Friendly professional family in Randwick are looking for a full time housekeeper/nanny to support their busy household and care for B7 and G5.
The family are located directly opposite Centennial Park, and connected via bus directly outside the house, and tram).
Employment Type: Full-Time (live-out)
Hours: Monday–Friday (flexible with hours, but must be available for school pick, so e.g. 9am or 10am to 6pm. Would consider 4 days a week also. Flexible with hours during school holidays.
Overview
They are a busy family with two children, G5 and B7, seeking a warm, experienced, and proactive full-time Housekeeper/Nanny. During school term time, the focus is primarily on household duties with the pickup of one child from school and after-school care/support. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, is highly organised, and enjoys working with young children.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare Responsibilities (Primarily after school):
• Prepare healthy school lunchboxes each evening for the next day
• School pick-up and escort to extracurricular activities
• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities (crafts, reading, board games, imaginative play)
• Support evening routine: assist with dinner, supervise/prep for bath time, help with homework and reading
• Prepare healthy after-school snacks and children’s dinners
• Much more flexible during school holidays (we often go away). If we are home, provide some full-day care during school holidays, including outings, structured activities
• Occasional evening babysitting by prior arrangement
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
• Daily general tidying of all common and private spaces
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors throughout the house
• Kitchen cleaning: benches, stovetop, splashback, fridge (as needed), microwave, dishwasher loading/unloading
• Laundry: washing, drying, ironing, folding and putting away clothing, bedding, and towels
• Changing bed linens and making beds
• Organising wardrobes, drawers, and storage areas
• Decluttering and tidying children’s bedrooms and play areas
• Cleaning windows (internally), glass doors, and mirrors
• Emptying bins and replacing liners (kitchen and bathrooms)
• Managing household supplies: monitoring stock and restocking toiletries, cleaning products, pantry basics
• Accepting deliveries, managing tradespeople (as needed)
• Light grocery shopping or errands (if required)
• Meal preparation (light cooking for the family if requested)
-Please note the family have a weekly cleaner fior the deep cleaning.
Key Attributes & Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Minimum 12 months’ availability (ideally longer, they would love for you to grow with their family)
• Enjoys working with school-aged children
• Organised, self-motivated, and efficient
• High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
• Valid Working With Children Check and Police Check
• Valid and clean driver’s licence
• First Aid/CPR certificate
• Non-smoker
• Available long-term
• Confident to prepare family meals
