Job Title: Payroll Officer - 12-month fixed term

Location: Docklands, VIC, AUS, 3008

Workplace Type: Hybrid

About the Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for a workforce of approximately 4,000 employees across Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll and assist with fortnightly payroll cycles
  • Manage payroll adjustments, terminations, and one-off payments
  • Ensure accurate tax calculations across allowances, bonuses, and deductions
  • Set up new starters and manage employee data in SAP ECP and EC (SuccessFactors)
  • Process timesheets and reconcile leave balances
  • Support general ledger reconciliations and month-end reporting
  • Respond to employee payroll queries with a strong customer-first approach
  • Maintain compliance with PAYG, superannuation, and employment legislation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and team projects

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated payroll experience in a complex, high-volume environment
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (PAYG, super, awards)
  • Knowledge of SAP ECP and EC (SuccessFactors) will be highly regarded
  • High attention to detail and strong data accuracy
  • Confident communicator with a customer-focused mindset
  • Strong Excel and systems capability
  • A team-first attitude, with the ability to be collaborative, positive, and proactive
