Job Description What makes you stick to the things that are most important in your life? Most Engineers only stay at a company for 1.8 years before switching to somewhere new. Lack of development. Poor management. Underuse of skills. The list goes on… Let's say a great mentor laid out your career development plan for you. While you work with interesting technology that impacts the lives of millions of people... Would that make you stick around? What if you could also have the flexibility to work from home a few days a week? Sounds madness? Maybe. But this company has it all. And I can prove it. Let's cut to the chase You'd join one of Australia's most successful companies. They don't just make world-class products. They also impact the lives of millions of people. Including their own. You'd be joining a company with an average of 5.4 years, when most companies average sits at 1.8. And, out of 15 Principal Engineers in the team, not a single one of them was hired for that position. They worked with their managers and mentors to get to where they are today. Surely that says something? What we need you for You'll be brought in to translate and upgrade an internal testing framework which was initially written in Python, into C++. You'll also implement new control algorithms and set up a CI pipeline in the C++ transform library, while educating other Embedded Engineers that are used to equivalent Python transforms. In a nutshell, this isn't a testing role. This role will allow you a lot of creative freedom to influence the transformation of this internal tool, and allow 2 of the company's core team work more effectively.
