Join our SCA Melbourne Finance team, where your success is at the heart of everything we do.
What does your day to day look like?
* Deliver accurate and complete month-end reporting, journal entries, and maintenance of accruals, provisions, and prepayments
* Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, manage tasks such as commission calculations, JV reporting, fixed assets,intangible assets,sundry invoicing, and banking administration.
* Support ongoing forecasts, variance analysis, and collaborate with Commercial Finance to deliver annual budgets, with a focus on centralised expenses.
* Prepare data for external audits and statutory reporting, and manage tax and compliance obligations including FBT, GST, income tax, WHT, and payroll tax.
* Drive enhancements in accounting policies, internal controls, and business processes, while maintaining organised support and process documentation.
* Liaise with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, respond to finance queries, contribute to ad hoc projects, and act as a backup during team absences.
What you'll need:
* 2+ years of experience in a similar role / environment
* Intermediate Excel, MS Office and ERP system skills (SAP experience highly desirable, but not essential)
* Significant experience in financial accounting and preparation / review of general ledger accounts and trial balance
* Demonstrated experience utilising fundamental business accounting skills relation to income tax, FBT and GST
* Ability to add value and assist in the development of enhanced processes
* High levels of accountability, attention to detail, and resourcefulness
* Exposure to media industry highly regarded
