Your New Role
As the Medical Receptionist, you'll ensure the smooth running of the clinic while creating a positive first impression for every patient. Key responsibilities include:
* Greeting patients and managing the front desk with empathy
* Booking and confirming mental health appointments
* Handling phone and email enquiries professionally
* Processing payments, Medicare and health claims
* Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
* Supporting psychiatrists and clinicians with administration
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring both skills and the right approach:
* Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare admin preferably within mental health
* Excellent communication and a compassionate manner
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confidence with booking systems, Medicare billing and office software
* A proactive, team‑focused and reliable work ethic
* Resilience and professionalism when supporting patients in difficult moments
