Job Description
FULL TIME FARM HAND/MILKING POSITION Cheelonga Farming is a large family-run dairy enterprise situated in Minbun 4886, on the Atherton Tablelands – Far North Queensland. We are currently looking for 4 people to join our team in May2026 for 9 months or more, as farm hands with an interesting range of jobs roles, including milk harvesting This is a full-time position 38 hrs/week; hours of work include 3 am starts and weekend shifts with a 10-day fortnight.
Pay rate is reflected in the Australian Pastoral Award for a Farm Hand Level 3 - $25.29/hr. Job Description: Milk harvesting twice daily Keeping accurate records Cleaning the Dairy area Mustering the herd twice a day Animal welfare Operate motor-bikes & other farm machinery Ration mixing & feeding the cows Cleaning and maintaining the machinery Following all the protocols adopted by Cheelonga Farming Team work & good communication Skills: a range of experience in the following would be advantageous

* Good communication levels
