We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Nurse Manager to provide effective day-to-day operational leadership across a broad range of hospital services. This is an excellent opportunity to work in regional NSW, leading operations within an acute facility and collaborating with all departments including the local Multipurpose Service (MPS) to ensure efficient and effective daily service delivery.
Working alongside the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, the Operations Nurse Manager ensures the delivery of efficient, patient-centred and outcome-focused nursing services in line with NBMLHD policies, community needs and allocated resources. The successful applicant will provide operational leadership, organisation and management of nursing services to support the provision of safe, high-quality patient care.
The role also supports the organisation's safety management system by fostering a positive health and safety culture and consulting with staff on matters that influence workplace wellbeing. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of care, operational excellence and a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

What you will bring to the role
* Registered Nurse/Midwife Division 1 with current National Registration with AHPRA.
* Recognised tertiary management/leadership qualification or working towards it, with demonstrated recent experience at a senior nursing management level in an acute hospital.
* Broad operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment.
* Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills that support a positive workplace culture.
* Understanding of and commitment to engaging clinicians in decision-making that impacts patient outcomes.
* Demonstrated experience in the successful application of change management principles.
* Knowledge of contemporary issues relating to nursing/midwifery professional practice.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel for employment.
