We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our team. The Management Accounting will be responsible for financial & management reporting, processes and procedures and business partnering with the management and operational teams. This role will support QLD / NT / SA /WA. Here's a snapshot of your day - Month-end close, Project Accounting including margin adjustments, variations and profit take-up, GL Account reconciliations - Monthly management reporting including the preparation of board packs and associated commentary to assist in decision making - Forecasting; Deliver accurate P&L forecasting through partnering with the operations team - Assist project managers in the preparation of accurate cost to complete forecasting - Forecast tracking during the month, based on project costs to date - Deliver accurate monthly forecasts - Budget - work with management to manage the delivery/reporting and improvement of the annual budget process - Auditor engagement - provision of audit support at the half/full-year - Review WIP for risks and work with the administration and operations teams to ensure all invoicing is completed each month - Review debtors and work with the admin and operations teams to ensure timely receipt of cash as well as the elimination of intercompany debt - Work across multi-functional teams to improve financial performance - Be part of UAT for the Integration of new systems - Understand and implement new policies and procedures - Work closely with integration team to deliver finance activities - Mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to provide a high level of productivity and professionalism The Ideal Candidate: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Commerce of similar - At least 3 years' experience in finance and accounting - Strong communicator with a hunger for continuous improvement - Sound knowledge and experience in month end financial closing and management reporting - Attention to detail with quick and accurate turnaround of analyses - Well-developed business understanding, analytical skills and a passion for problem-solving - Excellent time-management and organisational skills - Able to work both autonomously and in a team environment - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills Can we inspire you to join us?
