The Executive Support Officer will be responsible, as a member of a small team, for:
* Assisting the Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission in the performance of its statutory functions under the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021 .
* Providing high-level executive and administrative support to the Assistant Manager - Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission, to the Manager - Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission, to members of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission, and to other senior managers as required.
* Maintaining an organised approach to all work undertaken.
* Exercising a high level of confidentiality, judgment, discretion, and diplomacy in the performance of all tasks.
The role involves managing records, preparing documentation, advising on compliance-related issues, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and supporting the implementation of policies and projects related to voluntary assisted dying.
The Team:
The Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission is established by the End-of-Life Choices (Voluntary Assisted Dying) Act 2021 as an independent body with decision-making, advisory, monitoring, reporting, investigative, referral, and review functions.
The Office of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Commission is looking for a professional and highly organised Executive Support Officer to support the Commission in its functions.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.*
Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the publication date, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies, including full-time, part-time, and casual roles.
Salary ranges from $81,915 to $94,263 per annum, plus an Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution.
* Salary in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
