Therapist Role
Melbourne City Mission is currently recruiting for a Therapist to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will work with children and families to set goals, develop strategies and support their implementation. They will provide play-based therapeutic services focused on child and family goals for children in the child's environment or in the clinic.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Assessing student needs and formulating relevant treatment plans
* Working alongside educators, allied health workers and youth workers to deliver mental health support to students
* Providing clinical support to young people and families, particularly those who have experienced trauma and adversity
* Utilising skills and knowledge to provide goal-driven family-centred programs to support families through a key worker model of practice and parent coaching
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Degree qualified Psychologist
* Registered Psychologist with AHPRA
* Competence and confidence in diagnostic assessments (including WISC-V, WAIS-IV, Vineland 3, ABAS and autism assessment tools)
* Ability to implement effective caseload management strategies
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance and deliver on case load requirements of the role
