As a Research Fellow in the School of Computing and Information Systems, you'll lead cutting-edge research in machine learning for spatial data management. You'll have the opportunity to publish in top-tier venues, collaborate with renowned academics, and contribute to the school's strong research programme. Your responsibilities will include:

* Conduct Innovative Research: Plan and execute independent research in machine learning and spatial data management, analysing data and communicating findings.
* Publish and Present: Prepare manuscripts for top-tier conferences and journals, and present results at national forums.
* Collaborate and Mentor: Work with internal and external stakeholders, supervise junior researchers, and contribute to the school's research output.
* Contribute to Teaching: Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, while supervising and mentoring students in your area of expertise.

You may be a great fit if:

You are a passionate researcher with a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, experienced in machine learning for spatial data management, with a track record of publications in top-tier venues such as SIGMOD, VLDB, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, or TPAMI.

You may also:

* Have a strong background in machine learning, particularly foundation models for spatial data management.
* Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
* Have experience in preparing funding applications and managing research projects.
* Show enthusiasm for mentoring junior researchers and contributing to the academic community.
