DNA Healthcare work with rural and remote hospitals in Queensland that need Registered Nurses to work across the Emergency Department. How does 'Travel Nursing' work? You will be contracted to one hospital for a short 4-6 week period. Whilst working full time here, you will have accommodation provided locally for you. Your travel to and from the destination will be organised and provided for you by us. You will be paid agency hourly rates. It is an amazing way to see the country whilst working and earning great money. Your role: You will be providing high quality care to patients presenting to the ED Depending on your area of expertise, you will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in anaesthetics, scrub/scouting and recovery. Monitor observations, complete comprehensive documentation, report to the senior/manager in OTs. What hospitals are available to work at? Regional QLD: Rockhampton, Emerald, Townsville, Gladstone etc Rural QLD: Mackay, Cherbourg, Tully, Cairns, Bundaberg, Bowen, Childers, Gin Gin, etc Remote QLD: Normanton, Mornington Island, Mount Isa, Longreach, Julia Creek, Charleville, etc Requirements to work in rural & remote ED: 5 years experience as an acutely trained Registered Nurse 3 years experience in Emergency Department ALS Triage and resus competencies and experience Ventilation and intubation certificates are hugely beneficial Knowledge and experience with working amongst indigenous communities How do I apply or get more information?
