Cavalier Homes Albury-Wodonga is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Machine Operator to join our construction team. This role supports our residential building projects by operating earthmoving and site machinery efficiently and safely across multiple sites.
You will work closely with site supervisors, labourers, and subcontractors to ensure sites are prepared to specification, timelines are met, and quality standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate earthmoving and construction machinery safely and efficiently
(e.g. excavators, bobcats, truck etc)
* Complete site cuts, levelling, trenching, and material movement
* Read and interpret site plans, levels, and specifications
* Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine machine maintenance
* Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns
* Work collaboratively with site supervisors and trades
* Maintain clean, safe, and compliant worksites
* Follow WHS procedures, traffic management, and site safety plans
* Assist with general site duties when required
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Machine Operator in residential or civil construction
* Strong understanding of safe operating procedures and WHS requirements
* Ability to work accurately to plans, levels, and instructions
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously
* Strong communication skills and team-focused approach
* Pride in workmanship and attention to detail
Requirements
* Relevant machine operating tickets/licences (HR essential)
* Construction Industry White Card (essential)
* Driver's licence and reliable transport (essential)
* Experience working on residential construction sites (highly regarded)
